As a partner for agencies and end customers, ÖBB Werbung GmbH offers a wide range of services in out-of-home advertising. The company sells digital outdoor advertising, transport advertising on trains and buses, and advertising space at train stations. In recent years, it has focused on reducing pollutants and has put appropriate measures in place, such as converting to energy-efficient LED technology, procuring green electricity and using phthalate-free film. In conjunction with GroupM | [m]STUDIO, it has now looked at the remaining climate-impacting emissions from ÖBB advertising spaces. myclimate has offset the carbon footprint of all advertising space from 2019 onwards, in line with the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol standard. This covers everything from the procurement of raw materials through to production, transport, use, disposal and recycling. The quantities of carbon equivalents calculated in this way have been invested at the same level in the myclimate environmental protection project Fertile soil as a natural CO₂ sink in the Lake Constance region. This means that every campaign on ÖBB advertising space is now implemented in a carbon-neutral way, making an investment in climate protection.
