Together with Kahlil Baker, the founder of a large afforestation project in Nicaragua, and Silvana Comino, our internal expert for nature-based solutions, we presented the project in Nicaragua (known from the SRF 10vor10 report) in depth and learned first-hand about the challenges in the development and daily work. We also discussed why forest protection and afforestation are essential for global climate protection, biodiversity, and local communities.

The EU's new sustainability reporting requirements have only recently been adopted: the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, or CSRD for short, brings with it extensive requirements and innovations, and poses challenges for many companies.
